This was part of the venue's vibrant period in the late 1970s and early 1980s, during which it hosted many New Wave bands, including The Jam, U2, and The Cure.

A key highlight was the live rendition of "Take Me I'm Yours," a song that holds a special place in the history of Squeeze. Released as a single in 1978, this track was one of the first compositions they ever wrote and featured on their debut album.
